So out of shear frustration with everything — mostly being overwhelmed with all that I SHOULD be doing, I decided to take an hour break after getting home from the day job and before starting the night job. At the beginning, I told myself that I go through and sort all the pieces by type (not color), since most of the time you need to find a specific piece. I think it will be important with this build since it is quite massive and no one table can contain all the pieces in an organized fashion.
So on that note, I decided to use zip lock bags (really cheap ones) to begin the sorting process. Here are the results of that:
I will probably continue this method of attack, one hour a night. I just have too much other stuff to do. I have a friend coming down in April from New Hampshire that is a photographer and he wants to photograph this thing when it is done. So as long as I am done by then, I will be happy!

So for my birthday recently, my family all chipped in and got me the Lego Ultimate Collector’s Millennium Falcontm. Truly a dream come true for the Lego enthusiast and Star Wars fan alike. Make sure you check out the specs on this thing:
- mini-figure scale model
- Ship is over 33″ long, 22″ wide and 8″ tall! (84cm long x 56cm wide x 21cm tall)
- 5,195 pieces
- Manual is 307 pages of instructions in a large 11 3/4 x 16 1/2 format (when closed)
Needless to say I am extremely excited and can’t wait to start to build this thing. Here are the un-boxing photos (taken from my iPhone, so not that great).
I will be adding more pictures throughout the build process. I am going to take my time on this one and enjoy it.

I decided to try setting up a blog to see if I will actually take the time to post to it….again. I tried this once before to no avail. I am hopeful this time.
